Bits and pieces

The main reason I am making a new entry is that I've got some spare holiday cards this year. (They're just normal printed ones; I'm a viewer, not an artist). So if anyone's interested in a holiday card from somewhere weird and foreign, send me a private note or whatever it is called with your postal address. (And anyone who's been sent a private note in the last few months and not replied to it is welcome to reply at the same time. Yeah, you know who you are...)

Otherwise I'm not here all that much (not being an artist, again) so if anyone wants to catch up with me urgently I'm more likely to be reading replies to my blog: http://southerndave.livejournal.com. Nothing interesting there but a series of work grumbles and CD reviews unfortunately.

My werewolf novel is essentially on hold, though it's a complete manuscript, plus or minus any editing requested by the future publisher. (I've only edited the frak out of it for 23 years already!) I do plan to do something with it, but it's pretty much been on the back-burner while I worked on a bunch of other things, ranging from personal life crises to annual Nanowrimo challenges. (National Novel Writing Month, where participants write a 50,000 first draft in 30 days.)

Ah, nanowrimo. I'm having a go at that myself... the quality of writing is pure drivel at the moment, but with any luck it'll be editable at some point.

Well, pretty much the same as usual; work full-time, then come home and surf the net. Still trying to decide on a career and find a wife. :D

G'day Kirk... Long time no hear from. Year's been reasonable so far, a few changes and ups and downs but the downs aren't quite winning yet.

Sorry for the late reply... my computer's been in being fixed for most of the last week (it's not been running right for a long time) and will probably be going in again some time soon. Just got the darned thing back this evening. Sigh.
